TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.

The complete breakdown, including regulation, withdrawals, check here pricing, and the bonus terms, is at TradeTheDay.
